Yeah, so its HOT
D | Monday, July 25, 2005
I know this will come as now surprise to anyone, but it is HOT in the 'Nati. We have declared an Excessive Heat Warning (is that like when the President declares a Federal Disaster Area after a hurricane or tornado? What's the meteorological ramifications of declaring one of the Warnings).
At work, I have a webpage that displays what the weather will be for the upcoming week. It normally has little pictures of a sun, or some clouds, or snow, or rain. For Monday and Tuesday of this week I got this picture:
Not even a really bright sun. Just "HOT" with some wavy lines. Monday's high temp is expected to be 95 with a heat index of 100-110 (the all-time high temp for 7-25 was 107 in 1934). Bah! And I have no central air in my house. My little wall-mounted air conditioners are going to be working hard this week.
