ROTS overtakes AOTC, ROTJ, and ESB
D | Wednesday, June 08, 2005
Over the weekend, Revenge of the Sith became the fastest movie to reach 300 million dollars; it took 17 days. Also ROTS has overtaken AOTC's 310 million, ROTJ's 309 million, and ESB's 290 million (all of which are not adjusted for inflation). Box Office Mojo has a really nice pie graph in this Star Wars Briefing. The graph shows how the 2.115 billion is allocated amongst the 6 movies. And if you click on the pie, it will change to show the values adjusted for inflation (an impressive 3.5 billion dollars grossed by the 6 Star Wars movies).
Ah Star Wars. Also, someone offered to go see the film with me this weekend. That would make 5x. Watch for the cel phone screen capture to show up soon...

Seriously, Derek, how can you watch it that many times? I mean, I'm glad to know how it was that Anakin became Darth Vader and all, but it really wasn't that good of a movie! I'll probably never watch it again...
