101 in the phone
D | Wednesday, April 13, 2005
Yesterday I placed the 101st contact into my cel phone. This morning in a rare moment of stupidity, I decided to count every single number I had in my phone. Excluding email addresses (of which I have many in my phone), I have 129 separate phone numbers.
I don't know if this is impressive or not, but I fell like I am cooler than I was yesterday.
How many numbers are in your phone?*
*For Alex and Bradley: No, there will be no prizes of beer for this contest. Thanks for playing.

26 contacts, about 30 numbers. Not all of these are current - I haven't cleaned out some of the old numbers/people in a while.
And speaking of beer, I think you still owe me some. Are you going to bring it when you visit this weekend?

188 contacts and God knows how many numbers. But I need to admit that there's a lot of crap I haven't deleted too.

I'm right at 199 or 200, however many my phone will hold. There are some rarely used ones - (the number for our condo in Hilton Head), but every one of them have been used in the last year. And they will all be used again in the next year. I'm just glad some of my friends don't see me mulling over the possibility of deleting them...
Aside: It's sad that a blog response has made me feel more popular than anything I have ever done in my life...

I have 345 spots filled... but as for individual numbers it's more than that. I can hold 999... why 999 and not 1000 I don't know??? Thanks for reading man! You posted a comment! How sweet!

It's 999 and not 1000 because it would take an extra digit of memory for each number if you had 1000. Thus, number 145 would become 0145. Your phone needs the space.
This response was to clarify one thing: I did major in systems and am a dork who used to work for radio shack. But hey, admitting stuff worked for Eminem at the end of 8 Mile so maybe I'll end up working with Dre and 50

Man Alex, you and I suck hard core (mostly you). These people are crazy.
Plan for weekend: Punch random numbers from phone book into phone.
PS: Hi Nickey! Question: Interesting name for a girl? I don't think I've ever seen that before - is that typical? A story?

That's hysterical. I had to hum it to myself, but you are totally right.
Well done.

While i life i normally feel supreme, this little trist has made me feel wholly inadequate. I have 89 numbers some are up to three for one person! therefore, reducing my number, and I admit that about 10 of them I have no idea who they are. (random drunk numbers i got while out) So props to you guys with 100+, i'm impressed, i dont even know if like more then 20 people at one time!
